The Sugar Beats Benefit for CCLT4Vets

·   This is a Fundraising Event.

·   Live Music at Saxon Hall: Axes & Ales

o   The Sugar Beats are a badass rock cover band performing songs from the 1960s to present. They sure know how to rock the house. This is music every age group can appreciate.

·   Time: 1:00pm to 4:00pm

·   Fee:

April 15, 2024, Monday:

Virtual Poetry Writing

·   Time: 6:00pm to 8:00pm

·   Location: Registration required.

o   The link for this event will be sent a few days before, so make sure to check your email.

·   Open to the Public. 

·   Fee:

o   FREE for Patrons

o   $10 for everyone else



May 18, 2024, Saturday:

Whiskey, Bourbon and BBQ – Armed Forces Day

This is the previously postponed event from September 2023

·   Hosted by the Veterans Sportsmens Association (VSA)

o   All funds raised will be used to directly support Local Veterans

o   Stop by CCLT’s table and say “hi”

·   Time: 1:00pm to 6:00pm

·   Location: Taconic Distillery, Stanfordville, 179 Bowen Rd, Stanfordville, NY 12581

·   Fee:

o   ranges from $20 to $100

o   FREE for Patrons (tickets are LIMITED)

 

 

June 22, 2024, Saturday:

Namaste the Viking Way!

Wellness & Resiliency Faire

·   This is a Fundraising Event.

o   This is an indoor/outdoor event.

·   Vendors Wanted 

o   Some vendors include: Veterans Sportsmens Association, local area food trucks, and more.

·   Time: 12:00pm to 5:00pm

·   Location: Saxon Hall: Axes & Ales, 1400 NY-300, Newburgh, NY 12550

·   Fee:

o   FREE if in uniform only

o   $15 for current military members, veterans, first responders

o   $30 for everyone else, FREE for kids 6 and under



July 17, 2024, Wednesday:

·   We are going to break some plates. Then, turn what is broken into mosaic art.

·   Time: 5:00pm to 7:00pm

·   Open to Patrons and their Families; Ages 18+.

·   Fee:

August 25, 2024, Sunday

Military Appreciation Day at Heritage Financial Park

·   Hosted by the Renegades MiLB

o   CCLT will be a family sponsor

o   CCLT will be at the Renegades game which is a FREE baseball game for veterans and their families (limited to the veteran + 3 family members)

·   Location: Heritage Financial Park, 1500 NY-9D, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590



September 21, 2024, Saturday:

Annual Whiskey, Bourbon, & BBQ

·   Limited Edition: Fighting 69th Whiskey Bottle with Medallion

·   Hosted by the Veterans Sportsmens Association (VSA)

o   All funds raised will be used to directly support Local Veterans

September 28, 2024, Saturday:

CCLT’s First Annual American Poetry Slam

·   This is a Poetry / Spoken Word Contest.

o   Poets wanted

o   Youth Poets (Ages 12 to 17)

o   Adult Poets (Ages 18+)

o   Veterans

·   Time: 1:00pm to 4:00pm

·   Location: Orange County Veteran’s Center, 30 Lawrence Avenue, New Windsor, NY 12553

·   Fee:

o   FREE for Patrons

o   $10 for current military members, veterans, first responders

o   $20 for everyone else

·   What You Need To Know:

o   3 Poetry Prizes will be judged by 3 Guest Writers

o 3 Prizes will be awarded

o   Must be 12+ years or older to attend or participate

o   Poets have free access and may bring a plus one (1) at no additional cost

o   This event will feature explicit language and speak out about mental health issues

o   There will be a DJ on set

o   This event will be MC’d by MarieAnn C. Raguso (a published poet)

·   Submissions:

o   Reading period is open

o   Submit up to 5 poems (8 pages maximum) to cclt4vets@gmail.com no later than August 30, 2024 by 11:59pm

o   Your subject line in the email should resemble this: “First Middle Last Name – Poetry Slam – Youth/Adult/Veteran Poet”

o   This is not a blind read, please include your name, address, email, and phone number on a separate title page within a PDF or word document

o   There is a $5 submission fee (pay submission fee now)



October 19, 2024, Saturday:

Halloween Spirits

·   Hosted by the Veterans Sportsmens Association (VSA) and Ulster County Veterans’ Services

o   All funds raised will be used to directly support Local Veterans

o   Stop by CCLT’s table and say “hi”

o   CCLT will raffle something spooky off and be dressed to kill (mwhahaha!)

·   Time: 1:00pm to 6:00pm

·   Location: Hudson House & Distillery, 1835 Route 9W, West Park, NY 12493

·   Open to the Public

·   Fee:

o   ranges from $20 to $100



November 17, 2024, Sunday

Paint & Sip

·   CCLT will be working a veteran owned business to facilitate this event.

o   Wine and Mead provided by Saxon Hall: Axes & Ales

·   Time:

o   Session 1: 5:00pm to 7:00pm

o   Session 2: 7:00pm to 9:00pm

·   Location: Saxon Hall: Axes & Ales, 1400 NY-300, Newburgh, NY 12550

·   Open to the Public. Ages 21+ to drink, Ages 18+ to participate.

·   Fee:

o   $10 for current servicemembers, veterans, first responders

o   $20 for everyone else



December 7, 2024, Saturday:

Yule Holiday Market

·   This is a Fundraising Event.

o   Dressing in Viking and renaissance costumes is strongly encouraged, but completely optional.

·   Vendors Wanted 

·   Time: 5:00pm to 9:00pm

·   Location: Saxon Hall: Axes & Ales, 1400 NY-300, Newburgh, NY 12550

·   Fee:

o   Tickets go on sale in September

o   Free for Patrons (tickets are LIMITED)

We are not an animal haven or shelter. This a nonprofit named after the founder whose military call-sign was "Crazy Cat Lady." 




Who are the patrons?

Patrons are current military members, veterans, law enforcement, firefighters, and their families (current spouse, kid, or parent of).  

 

Is there a fee to be a patron?

There is no fee to a patron. However, some events require a ticket fee for those who are not registered as patrons, regardless of their status as a current military members, veterans, law enforcement, firefighters, and their family (current spouse, kid, or parent of). If you qualify, please register today.
